When the situation in the mouth does not allow prosthodontic treatment with crowns and bridges, there is the possibility of mobile or combined prosthodontic treatment.

Combined prosthodontic treatment are those which are only partially fixed in the mouth while the other part  is mobile and it is necessary to take it off  from time to time because of oral hygiene.

Removable dental prosthesis can be complete or partial. While complete prosthesis are made exclusively out of acrylic, partial prosthesis are made of two kinds of material: acrylic and metal base.  Which solution will be offered to the patient, mainly depends on the situation found in the mouth.
